Rebates & Referrals

You do not need a referral from a doctor or any other healthcare professional to see an osteopath.

Medicare – under the Enhanced Primary Care Scheme, patients who have a chronic condition, can claim a rebate from Medicare for their osteopathic treatment. A referral from your G.P. will be required for this rebate.

Private Health Insurance – most funds will cover osteopathic treatment but you should check your level of cover with your insurer.

HICAPS – we have the facility for you to claim from your health fund on the spot. You will only need to pay the gap amount.

Motor Accident Authority – MAA covers your treatment with an osteopath for injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident. A referral from your G.P. will be necessary.
